OUR TEAM
Experienced Dentists, Caring Staff
52nd Street Dental Clinic is conveniently located in Red Deer. We offer patients the chance to work with experienced dentists and caring staff members when they come to our office for dental treatments of any kind. The 52nd Street team is made up of a great group of professionals who enjoy working with one another to provide outstanding service to the people they care for in the community. Our Dentists
Dr. George Chao, B.Sc., DDS
Dr. George Chao is originally from China. After graduation, he served the northern Albertan rural communities for two years before he joined the practice in 2015.

Dr. Glen Chabaylo, DDS
Being a general dentist embodies my core values of honesty, integrity, and treating others as I would like to be treated. I am privileged to care for those in my community, people I have come to know as friends and consider a part of my extended family. As each patient I meet is different, so are their dental needs. Whether I am performing restorative work to improve a patient’s oral health or creating an aesthetically pleasing smile, the required attention to detail is what really clicks with my personality and one of the main reasons I joined the health care field.
Education and experience
My formal education in dentistry occurred at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. I still enjoy learning 35 years later as much as I did back then. I am an active member of:

My team
On a daily basis, I work with outstanding personalities I am proud to call my team, starting with my associates Dr. Chao, Dr. Kobi, and Dr. Engel, and the rest of our support staff. Between all of us, we hope to cater to the various schedules our patients have, as well as their unique personalities. The support team, without whom I could not operate, is an exceptional mix of professionals who not only relish their work, but really enjoy each other. With wonderful personalities working in a harmonious environment, coming to “work” doesn’t seem like “work.”
Dr. Jennifer Kobi, DDS
Dr. Kobi was born and raised in Ponoka and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery, with Distinction, from the University of Alberta in 1995. Throughout her years in university Dr. Kobi received numerous awards and scholarships for academic and clinical achievement. In recent years, as a dedicated life-long learner, she has taken further training in Sedation Dentistry, Neuromodulator Therapy (Botox) and Cone Beam Radiology. With over 25 years of experience she takes pride in helping people improve their dental health.
In addition to keeping busy with dentistry Dr. Kobi enjoys spending time in the mountains skiing and climbing with her husband and two sons.
Dr. Kobi is excited to rejoin the team of talented dental professionals at 52nd Street Dental and looks forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
Danielle Engel, DMD,CD
The past 20 years I’ve practiced general dentistry have proven to be such a blessing. Not only do I have the opportunity to create functional and beautiful smiles for my patients, but I get to do so with a team. Without them, my work would not be possible.
Education and experience
I attended dental school at the University of Manitoba. I am a member of several professional associations, including the Canadian Dental Association and the Alberta Dental Association and College.
Outside the office
A native of Montreal, Quebec, I currently reside in Red Deer, Alberta. My life has been made whole with a wonderful, loving family. My oldest son, David, and his wife Jinny have given us three grandchildren, Andrew, Elliott, and Madison. I also have a daughter, Melody, who is married to Aaron, our youngest daughter Elizabeth, and my youngest one, William.
I like staying active in my free time, biking, swimming, and dancing, and also enjoy sewing and reading. My dedication to my faith reinforces my belief that none will be lost and the good news of Jesus will be spread all over the earth.

Sheila,
Registered Dental Assistant
Sheila is a career dental assistant working with Dr. Nenkov, Dr. Wyzykoski, and Dr. Engel providing restorative, cosmetic, and surgical care, as well as handling imaging duties and many other tasks. Sheila has been at our practice since 1977. She does volunteer work at the Dental Outreach of Red Deer (DooR) Program and is active in the local Dental Assistant Association. She and her husband love to spend time outdoors and training for Races and Spartans. True to her Saskatchewan roots, she remains a loyal Roughrider fan!
Marte,
Registered Dental Assistant
Marte works chairside with Dr. Chabaylo and Dr. Nenkov. She also assists in the maintenance of our clinic. She has been with us since 1980, so she has had the opportunity to really get to know many of the families we treat. Marte is very involved in her church, where she serves on the board and fills multiple roles in the music program, including vocals, piano, and bass guitar. She also enjoys woodwork, needlework, painting, and making jewelry, but her best times are spent with family and friends.

Kelly is a true professional with more than 20 years of experience in the dental health field. She works diligently to treat and educate our patients. Kelly’s son and daughter keep her busy with their school and sports activities, but she also finds time to relax with a good book for a quiet night at home.
